Managing all phases of laboratory operations. Training and overseeing of Chemists and technicians,
implementing report formats, reviewing and approving reports, working interface with regulatory
agencies, client relationships, budget preparation, scheduling, writing proposals / bids and
responsibility of maintaining all laboratory certifications.

Experience
Sampling and analyses of various types of water and industrial waste from high purity water systems
to hazardous waste generations. Complete knowledge of procedures outlined by EPA., Standard
Methods, A.S.T.M., NIOSH, and OSHA. Provide consulting and problem solving in the area of
water and wastewater treatment. Knowledge of all areas of testing. Familiar with permits,
N.P.D.E.S., Stormwater Programs, Industrial Wastewater, and various local, state, and federal
regulations.

Responsibilities
Responsible for all phases of mobile laboratory operations.  Training of chemists and technicians,
writing laboratory SOPs, reviewing reports, client relations and scheduling.  Responsible for
maintenance of mobile laboratories.  Responsible for mobile laboratory certifications and approvals
under E.L.A.P., State of California, Department of Health Services.

Responsible for coordinating and implementing QA/QC protocols.  Technical review of operations,
calibration of equipment, and data generation.  Conduct periodic audits to ensure data quality.
Responsible for review of analytical reports issued by Sierra Analytical.

Experience
Analysis of various types of soil, water and hazardous waste by EPA Methods in stationary and
mobile laboratories.  Extensive experience in analysis of volatile and semivolatile compounds by EPA
500, 600 and 8000 series methods.  Extensive experience in sample preparation for analysis of
organic compounds according to SW-846.  Responsible for mobile laboratory certification of all
methods

Review of laboratory data and implementation of QA/QC procedures according to EPA guidelines.
Conducting internal and external audits of laboratory operations, standard operating procedures,
and performance.  Data validation according to EPA protocols.

Also, knowledgeable and experienced in soil and groundwater sampling techniques.  40 hour
OSHA certified for field work in hazardous environments.
